QBurst Project Managers Meet 2023

Project managers from various QBurst locations convened for insightful discussions and exchanges on October 7, 2023, at Cochin. 

Jimmy Kappen, Vice President of Service Delivery, welcomed the participants. He presented the company’s financials and shared his views on the current hybrid working model. 

Praveen Pankajakshan, Associate Director of Projects, briefed the participants on the proposed Project Management CoE, highlighting the importance of a centralized hub where project management expertise, knowledge, tools, and methodologies are consolidated and shared across the organization.

In his session on Quantitative Project Management, Varun George, Associate Director of Projects, discussed the importance of various project management metrics and how we can use it to monitor project progress. 

With interest in AI on the rise in many domains, demand for AI expertise and custom solutions is also on the rise. Ravi Padmaraj, Project Manager, took the audience through some of the current trends in AI and how cutting-edge AI technologies can be integrated into our projects.

Speaking on the Testing CoE being implemented in QBurst, Nibin Nelson, Manager, QA, explained how it will help standardize testing practices, improve test automation, and elevate the quality of deliverables.

Glimpses from PM Meet 2023 at Crowne Plaza, Kochi

Ameena Iqbal, Associate Director of Projects, discussed performance appraisals and shared insights on conducting fair and constructive evaluations.

Prathapan Sethu, Chief Executive Officer, joined the PM Meet virtually and addressed the gathering. He spoke about the pivotal role played by technical project managers and how managerial skills can be honed. 

In his message, Binu Dasappan, Chief Operating Officer, acknowledged QBurst’s significant growth over the past year, emphasized the vital role of this frontline team of Project Managers in QBurst’s success, and expressed gratitude for their hard work. 

Niby Antony, Associate Director, Projects, proposed the vote of thanks. 

Over 100 project managers took part in the event, which included round table discussions based on hypothetical project scenarios.
