HACKNIGHT’24
The 2024 edition of HackNight had participants exploring the transformative potential of artificial intelligence.
The first stage saw 63 ambitious teams showcase their ideas and designs. A rigorous evaluation brought the number down to 12 in the second round.
Team ResponseForbidden bagged the first prize for “SmartSweat,” an innovative AI-powered workout app. Using pose detection AI models such as OpenPose and MoveNet, SmartSweat provides real-time feedback during workouts, helping to perfect form, maximize results, and prevent injury. It can be integrated with a fitness tracker to monitor fitness progress and workout statistics.
Team Semicolon secured the second position for “Earthly Essence,” a search engine that uses open APIs to help users find eco-friendly alternatives to products. With “Tailor,” an AI-powered clothing design tool that creates custom designs, Team Clayon won the third position.
The event, which was held at our Kochi office, kicked off on May 10 evening and concluded the next morning.

Beyond the Competition
Creativity and collaboration energized the event. Chess games and parallel tech events provided participants the opportunity to cool off and engage with their colleagues. Anoop Irshikesh, Prajwal Ullaskumar, and Vivek Vijayan emerged winners of the chess and tech events.
