Testathon 2024

QBurst hosted a Testathon for its QA team members in partnership with LambdaTest, the leading cloud-based testing platform, on July 27, 2024. 

Nibin Nelson, Senior Manager, QA, delivered the welcome address. The event kicked off with a presentation of QBurst’s QA Portfolio by Joby Raj, Associate Vice President, QA. This was followed by a series of technical sessions by industry experts:  

LambdaTest Overview

Karan Rana, Account Manager, LambdaTest, gave an overview of LambdaTest, highlighting how it enables users to conveniently test their websites and web apps across various browsers, browser versions, operating systems, and resolutions, whether public or locally hosted.

Accessibility Testing

Tejas Amle, Product Manager, LambdaTest, led an engaging session on the challenges and best practices in Accessibility Testing.

AI and LambdaTest

Sparsh Kesari, Senior Developer Relations Engineer at LambdaTest, discussed how LambdaTest leverages AI to enhance testing processes. An exclusive sneak preview of LambdaTest’s groundbreaking new product, ‘KaneAI,’ generated buzz and excitement in the audience.

QA Transformation & Productization Journey

Mathew Joseph, Associate Director, QA, shared his thoughts on the evolution of full-stack testers and the skills required for the transition. He also emphasized the importance of the productization journey, an area where testers have to focus more.

QBurst LambdaTest Engagement 

Vijo Varghese, Manager, QA, spoke on the collaboration between QBurst and LambdaTest, the benefits, and future prospects. 

Visual Regression

Ranichandra Jayanthi, Senior Architect, QA, concluded the sessions with a comprehensive presentation on visual regression, its importance, and best practices.

Team Presentations and Winners

The Testathon took place at the Carnival Phase I Campus, Technopark, Trivandrum. Participants from other QBurst locations joined virtually from their respective offices.

Twenty-nine teams took part in an incredibly fierce competition tackling problem statements revolving around Artificial Intelligence, Accessibility, and Performance Optimization. Each team presented their innovative solutions before a judging panel comprising experts from QBurst and LambdaTest.
