Extending a Helping Hand

May 10, 2017

Our CSR activities in the first quarter of 2017 were centered around the development of school infrastructure in select cities, towns, and villages of Kerala. QBurst has offices across Kerala, which gives us the advantage of serving more institutions, especially those located far away from our corporate office in Trivandrum.

We identified a few schools that needed better facilities to provide a healthy learning environment to children. Among them were Devi Vilasam UP School (Balaramapuram, Trivandrum), Karuna Speech and Hearing HSS School (Nadakkavu, Calicut), NUPS (Koratty, Thrissur), St.Rocky’s LP School (Manjapra, Kochi), and Govt. Boys High School (Chalai, Trivandrum).

We carried out renovation activities based on the immediate requirement of the schools. The new study and dining halls that we provided took care of the infrastructure needs of Karuna Speech and Hearing School. Extensive work was required at St.Rocky’s, where we carried out flooring, roofing, and plastering, besides building a small kitchen for the smooth implementation of the school’s mid-day meal scheme.

Newly tiled classrooms, office, and lab await students of Devi Vilasam UP School when they rejoin school after the long summer break. The new coat of paint and neatly tiled floors will be a breath of fresh air for students at NUPS.

We also donated computers to NUPS, St.Rocky’s LP School, and MKM LP School so students there can have a more hands-on computer education.

A few snaps of the schools’ new look.
