    A week after the festivities at Trivandrum, QBurst Kochi and Koratty together celebrated their annual day with a mega event at the Bolgatty Palace in Kochi, Kerala. The evening began with the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony that marked the inauguration of the event. This was followed by a variety of cultural programs presented by QBurstians. The teams from Koratty and Kochi entertained the audience with performances that had an unique blend of tradition and patriotism.     DMCC Community Portal developed by QBurst for residents, working people and shoppers at Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) is now live. With 60 towers, JLT is one of the largest developments in Dubai. There are over 25,000 residents and 10,000 working people in the region. The website helps visitors to get acquainted with the community and remain updated with the latest happenings in the region, through notice boards, advertisement boards, community update section, news listings, image galleries, newsletter subscriptions and events calenders.     We had a distinguished guest visiting us today. Prof. Martin J. Fransman from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, is a well known figure in development economics. His research extends to areas of innovation and competitiveness in ICT (telecoms, IT, and Internet), high-tech industry, institutional evolutionary economics, etc. While visiting the Center for Development Studies at Trivandrum this week, he wanted to spend time with a software development company operating out of Trivandrum, to understand its growth from infancy. He and his team at CDS met up with key people at QBurst to gain more insight into our operations.     After an action-packed year that kept us all busy and working hard throughout, QBurstians took a well-deserved break from work, with their families. We broke up into three teams: Chillax, La Moda and TechU, each with a different theme. On December 3, we organized the first of our competitions comprising of sports and other off-stage events for employees held at the Technopark Club. Activities included badminton, carroms, slow bike racing, dodge ball, tug-of-war, one-minute games, salad platter and jam sketch, all of which built up the mood for the QBurst Fiesta held a week later on December 10, 2011 at Trivandrum Club.
